Cage farming

Mbakaou + Nyong

Floating cage farming

417 total cages at full capacity (AKVA Group equipment), deployed under the 70/30 orchestrator model (292 direct + 125 satellite). Cages Ø 20 m × 6 m (Mbakaou) and Ø 18 m × 4 m (Nyong). Cycle 4.5 to 5 months, target FCR 1.30 from Phase 1.

Internal hatcheries

Site hatcheries: Mbakaou (≈ 90M fingerlings/year) and Mfou (≈ 49M fingerlings/year), GIFT strain. Reproduction under reinforced biosecurity. Male sex ratio ≥ 95%. 100% internal supply.

Agricultural hub

Integrated agricultural hub

5,380 hectares of irrigated industrial farming, 70/30 model. Maize and soy as priorities, rice bran and oilcake as complements. Part of the State of Cameroon's "Plaine Centrale" programme.

Feed plant

Bühler do Brasil feed plant

Total capacity 100,000 tpa (76 kt fish + 24 kt related), extruded pellets, multi-species (fish, poultry, cattle, pig). Sized beyond internal needs, it generates a surplus sold to third-party farmers.

IQF freezing

Mbakaou + Nyong

On-site IQF freezing

IQF freezing of whole fish on the aquaculture sites (no industrial slaughter or processing): individual quick freezing, glazing, packaging and negative storage. End-to-end cold chain. Target certifications: ISO 22000, HACCP, ASC.

Multi-channel CEMAC distribution

Owned network of 10 fishmonger outlets (Yaoundé and Douala) complemented by a DIR logistics platform. Five channels: wholesalers, mass retail, HORECA, CEMAC export (IQF freezing) and owned fishmongers. Integrated cold chain.

Our commercial offer

GIFT tilapia — PROAQUI range

GIFT tilapia produced locally and IQF-frozen (whole fish) straight out of the water for mass retail, foodservice and CEMAC export, and delivered fresh on ice to proximity markets. End-to-end traceability via consumer QR code. Structural substitution for imported frozen tilapia: short regional supply chain, controlled quality and reduced carbon footprint.
